Lions Park and the recently completed seawalk offer a pleasant scenic way to exercise or just to spend some time. Behind town is a challenging mountain bike trail that hosts the annual “Rumble Fest” mountain bike race in the spring.
There are also 2 lakes nearby for summer swimming, boating and fishing. Link River Campsite, Marble River Campsite and Spruce Bay offer the camper basic wilderness sites, with picnic tables, fire pits and access to hiking trails and great scenery. Several interesting karst formations – Devil’s Bath, Eternal Fountain and Vanishing River, are all within easy driving distance
Port Alice is one of the gateways to the west coast. Side Bay, Gooding Cove, Harvey Cove and Klaskino Inlet are all accessible by boat or logging roads through spectacular scenery, with the good chance of viewing wildlife such as deer, bears, cougars, eagles, etc.
